Washington-Caldwell School PTO Meeting

January 9, 2023 at 6 p.m.

Bank account balances

Citizen Bank Checking $2,001.03

Citizen Bank Savings $4,020.40

Old bank savings account: $947.68

Need reimbursement from old bank -$295.66 We left a message for David to get this process speeded up. They have told us 60 days and it’s been well over that.

 

Giving Tree donation follow-up

There’s a receipt in the PTO box ($258) - we will reimburse Kelli.

 

Student of the month/Teacher gift cards

Kelli bought the gift cards ($420) and caught up with the teachers who were waiting for their prizes. They were excited to find out the prize was a gift card. We will reimburse Kelli.

 

Basket Raffle wrap-up

We raised $1,452. It went really well. Mr. T’s class basket had the most tickets. The sensory basket from Mrs. Stephens was also popular.

 

Chill Out follow-up

The kids all had hot cocoa. Thanks to Toby for making the hot water. Kids all read for 2023 minutes. There was enough for all. Hot cocoa is gluten-free!

 

Honor Roll upcoming

February 1st 2:45, Wednesday will be the date. Taffy will check the ice cream levels when she stops in for the PTO receipts. Lisa and Taffy will be there.

 

Spaghetti dinner

Tentatively Saturday April 15th. Need to have a brainstorm about this soon.

 

Family Movie night on 2/14 @ 5:45 doors  6 pm movie

Have a Valentine’s Day themed movie! We can do concessions and a cookie decorating project. We could get a pre-registration so that we have a headcount. We could also connect with Elementary Honor Society to help with cookie decorating. Gnomeo and Juliet. We will need cookies, frosting and sprinkles. Also knives and plates. Walmart sells the unfrosted sugar cookies.

 

Open Floor

Kelli mentioned the school board’s survey, they are working on deciding on the referendum items. PTO is willing to support and promote the referendum’s cause.
