Washington-Caldwell School PTO Meeting Notes

Movie night: Lisa will shop for the movie: Encanto and similar snack list to Fall Fest – small candy, popcorn, sodas, juice boxes, water; Kelli will send out a reminder for the movie night tomorrow

 

Color run: fall – We have found it to be successful in the past. How do we get our portion of the funds for things sold during the event? Each school gets the fundraising amount for the students from their school.

 

Spring fundraiser: Milwaukee Pretzel Co.  – pick a date when to start and when to deliver. April 1-14 (two weeks). We can get paper order forms and do a pdf in the parent update. 

 

Locker project: Need to get quotes, so we can draft a letter gathering $ - Taffy going to talk to Krista regarding the quotes/contacts with the Spacesavers contact (her father-in-law).

 

End of year carnival: We will have a similar setup to last year, in process.

 

Open floor

 

Jonna J – Camp Read-A-Lot (middle school will have 8th grade help), going to all school instead of just K-2. (Jonna will go thru Rachel/Taher for lunch for kids) Fri June 3, tentative – PTO can provide a morning or afternoon snack (break for popcorn during the movie in gym in the p.m.); snack bags were also a hit

 

Val - Bulldog Directory mailing; need help with Gmail login; bcc parents via Wash-Cald PTO with the pdf. Val will check in with Joane for 2-factor authentication/login

 

Kelli suggested we offer some more PTO updates in the Parent Update. We can also do more promo with the school in the Tichigan/Waterford summer parades, Explore Waterford beautification day (clubs and orgs are going to be promoted the whole month of April), and Lions Day in the Park.
